Take restaurant orders on your own WhatsApp
Delivery apps charge a cut of every ticket. On menutables the free plan sends the order to the restaurant’s WhatsApp number instead. The guest builds the order from the menu — items, extras, and notes — and sends it as a message you can confirm.
How an order reaches you
The guest opens your link or QR code, picks items, and taps to send. On the free plan that opens WhatsApp with the order written out: items, type (dine-in, takeaway, or delivery), and the address when it is a delivery.
You reply on the same chat you already use. There is no cashier board on the free plan. That screen starts on Starter.
Commission, in plain words
menutables does not take a percentage of the food order the way a delivery marketplace does. The free plan is 0 EGP a month, limited to one admin, one branch, 25 products, and WhatsApp orders.
Starter and Premium are a monthly subscription (500 EGP or 2,000 EGP), or points where one point equals one completed order. That is a software fee, not a commission on the dish price. You still handle payment and delivery the way the shop already does — this page does not add card checkout or cash-on-delivery as a payment gateway.
When WhatsApp is not enough
A busy service needs a board, not only a chat. Starter moves orders inside the app and adds a cashier screen so the kitchen is not reading WhatsApp threads. Premium lets the waiter confirm as well and adds kitchen and customer screens.
You can start on WhatsApp today and move the same menu to the board later. The catalog does not have to be rebuilt.
Questions
- Does menutables take a commission on each order?
- No percentage of the order. Free is 0 EGP a month. Starter and Premium are a monthly price, or one point per completed order if you choose points.
- Which plan sends orders to WhatsApp?
- The free plan is WhatsApp orders only, with no cashier screen. Starter and Premium take orders inside the app.
- Can the guest still see photos and prices?
- Yes. The WhatsApp message is sent after they pick from the menu, so the prices they saw are the ones on the catalog.
